Big Skies Camping & Glamping is a small, friendly, family run CL site set in 9-acres of grassland, located in the rural countryside on the outskirts of the Fenland Town of March, Cambridgeshire catering for adults, children and well-behaved dogs on leads.
At Big Skies we offer the most amazing, relaxing, tranquil, and peaceful open countryside views with some of the most outstanding unobstructed sunrises and sunsets right down to or rising up from the horizon.
We offer 5 very large 15m x 15m open plan grass pitches, which can easily accommodate a large awning. The grass pitching area is located away from our home at the bottom of our land. The communal service point, drinking water and rubbish bins are situated on the way in from the road to your pitch. Owners and their dogs can enjoy a variety of countryside walks from the site via Fenland B roads, Bridleways and Riverbank Walks.
We are very excited to welcome you to Big Skies Camping & Glamping CL and to experience unrivaled sunrises and sunsets over the beautiful Fenland countryside and we look forward to making your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

On-Site Natural Beauty in the Countryside:
At Big Skies site and in the surrounding open countryside surrounding us, we are frequently visited by numerous wildlife like Deer, Muntjacs, Foxes, Hares, Buzzards, Red Kites, Kestrels, Swallows, Reed Warblers, Skylarks and Owls.
After the sun has set, we are very lucky to have very low light pollution being in the middle of the Fens away from the Towns and Cities giving us pitch black skies on non cloudy nights, allowing Fantastic Star Gazing including the Milky Way and even the Northern Lights on Special Weather Occasions. Throughout the night you will Regularly see Satellites overhead and Spotting the Space Station is always a Great Sight when it is in the right axis above the UK.
March Town Attractions:
Big Skies is located within easy access by road of the thriving Fenland Market Town of March, or alternatively via a picturesque riverside walk to the town centre alleviating the need to park or drive home after an evening out (approximately 1.9miles).
March Town Centre has recently been revamped and has plenty to offer regarding eating out offering Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Thai restaurants, numerous Fish and Chip shops, KFC, Dominos, Costa & Greggs and other Takeaways. Supermarkets include Tesco, Sainsbury, Lidl, Aldi, Co-op, Iceland, Budgens, Farm Foods and numerous Pubs and Cafes.
March has a Market twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) offering a variety of stalls. March also has its own Railway Station (3.4miles away) allowing rail access to local areas like Ely, Peterborough, Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Norwich etc, for relaxing sightseeing or shopping day trips out. We are happy to drop you off and collect you to and from the Train Station if you would like a day out without uprooting your Campervan or Motorhome.

Nigel & Nikki Davies, the Owners Welcome you to Big Skies Campsite. Living on-site, if there is anything you require whilst you are staying with us please do hesitate to ask no matter how big or small. You might have forgotten to pack something or you have run out of food or drink supplies. Please do not feel embarrassed to ask as we frequent the town at least once a day and it is no bother for us to pick you up supplies to help your stay be more enjoyable and relaxing.
Likewise if you would like to participate in one of our on-site activities like kite flying, blokarting, boules etc then just give us a call and we can book your activity for you.

We also welcome well behaved Dogs at Big Skies to help you complete making family memories. All we ask is that you kindly keep them on a lead and clean up after them please.

As you drive into the Big Skies Site just passed the Fresh Water Tap you will find the Elson Toilet Disposal Point.
On-Site Mens & Womens Toilets
If you prefer not to use your own Toilet in your Caravan or Campervan then you are welcome to use our On-Site Toilet Block . We are in the process of upgrading our Toilet block with a Fully Serviced Ladies and Gents Toilet and Shower Block with Hot and Cold Running Water after just receiving planning permission to build the New Toilet and Shower Block along with 5 fully serviced Pitches with Electric Hookups, Fresh Drinking Water, Grey Waste and Wi-Fi.
